齢 instar
昆虫生態学において、幼虫の脱皮と脱皮の間の段階を表す「齢（れい）」。『齢 instar』シリーズは、「さなぎ」という事象に象徴されるような、時間、変容、両義性、儀礼に着目し、環境-身体-音-映像の相互関係で成り立つ空間を試行する。『齢 01』では、天井高10mの大空間で「遅延」や「並行世界」を意識化する作品を構成。『齢 02』は大幅にスペースを縮小し、定まらなさの感覚のなかで往還しつつ偏在するものに着目する。『齢 03』では、鎌倉五山の一つ浄智寺の静謐な空間で、世界を分化することなく捉える方法を探る。
We had developed performance and installation series called "齢/instar". The "齢/instar" series focuses on time, a transformation, an ambiguity and a ritual symbolized by the phenomenon of “chrysalis” and attempts to create a space formed by the interrelationships of an environment, a body, sound and an image. We composed the work that made us aware of “delay” and “parallel universe” in a large space and we moved the venue into a very small space and focused on things that were ubiquitous while going back and forth in a sense of uncertainty. The latest work explored ways to perceive the world without dividing it in Zen Temple.
